Lower Paper Cassette

must capable of handling the paper size, however. (The lower paper cassette unit can hold
letter, A4, or
paper.)

2.1.1.2 Drum Charge
Drum charge is the process of charging the
PC drum with static electricity before laser exposure.
This printer uses a brush charge method, rather than the corona charge method, to charge the
drum. In the brush charge method, there is no generation of ozone as a result of corona discharge.
This method also allows the drum to be charged at a low voltage, because a direct electric load is
applied to the PC drum.
