Full trim
Note
Use a pressure input source that is at least three times more accurate than the transmitter,
and allow the input pressure to stabilize for ten seconds before entering any values.
Field Communicator
To calibrate the sensor with a Field Communicator using the full trim function, perform the
following procedure:
1.
Assemble and power the entire calibration system including a transmitter, Field
Communicator, power supply, pressure input source, and readout device.
2.
From the
Home
screen, enter the Fast Key sequence shown.
3.
Select
2: Lower sensor trim
.
Note
Select pressure input values so that low and high values are equal to or outside the 4 and
20 mA points. Do not attempt to obtain reverse output by reversing the high and low
points. The transmitter allows approximately five percent URL deviation from the
characterized curve established at the factory.
4.
Follow the commands provided by the Field Communicator to complete the
adjustment of the lower value.
5.
Repeat the procedure for the upper value, replacing 2: Lower sensor trim with
3: Upper sensor trim in
AMS Device Manger
1.
Right click on the device and select
Calibrate
, then
Sensor trim
from the menu
.
2.
Select
Lower sensor trim
.
3.
Select
Next
after setting the control loop to manual.
4.
Select
Next
after applying appropriate pressure to sensor.
5.
Select
Next
to acknowledge the loop can be returned to automatic control.
6.
Select
Finish
to acknowledge the method is complete.
7.
Right click on the device and select
Calibrate
. Select
Sensor trim
from the menu
.
8.
Select
Upper sensor trim
and repeat
.
