9.6 Caution
1. The induction hob must be installed by qualified personnel or technicians. We have professionals at your service. Please never
attempt installation by yourself.
2. The hob must not be installed directly above a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine or clothes dryer, as the humidity
may damage the hob electronics
3. The induction hob must be installed in a way that ensures effective radiation of heat to enhance its reliability.
4. The wall and induced heating zone above the work surface must be able to withstand heat.
5. To avoid any damage, the sandwich layer and adhesive must be resistant to heat.
6. Do not use a steam cleaner near the hob.
9.7 Connecting the hob to the mains power supply
This hob must only be connected to the mains power supply by a suitably qualified person.
Before connecting the hob to the mains power supply, check that:
The domestic wiring system is suitable for the power drawn by the hob.
1. The voltage corresponds to the value given on the rating plate.
2. The power supply cable is rated to withstand the load specified on the rating plate.
Do not use adapters, reducers, or branching outlets to connect the hob to the mains power supply, as they can cause overheating
and fire.
The power supply cable must not touch any hot parts and must be positioned so that its temperature will not exceed 75˚C at any
point.
Check with an electrician whether the domestic wiring system is suitable without alterations.
Any alterations must only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The power supply should be connected in compliance with the relevant standard, or via a single-pole circuit breaker. The method of
connection is shown below.
• If the cable is damaged or has to be replaced, this must be carried out by the after-sales agent using dedicated tools to avoid
any accidents.
• If the appliance is connected directly to the mains supply, an omnipolar circuit breaker must be installed with a minimum ope-
ning of 3 mm between contacts.
• The installer must ensure that the electrical connections have been carried out correctly and comply with safety regulations.
• The power cable must not be bent or compressed.
• The power cable must be checked regularly and replaced by authorised technicians if necessary.
• After the appliance has been connected to the mains supply: If the appliance is connected to the mains supply using a plug,
check the operation of the appliance to make sure that it heats up. If failure code E1 appears when you check operation, rotate
the plug through 180 degrees so that the pins are reversed. Failure code E1 can indicate that the neutral and phase connections
are reversed.
