Time delay before door opening
Here you determine the length of time during which
the door will be prevented from opening if the
machine has detected a fault-error and is dis-
playing an error message. This must give enough
time for the water to empty and drum speed to be
reduced.
Please note that the water will not be emptied
as a result of all types of error. In the case of the
HIGH TEMPERATURE error, for example, the door
will remain locked even though the time you have
programmed has elapsed. One reason for this is
to prevent the risk of a fire if the electrical heating
equipment is still switched on and heating.
Upper and lower temperature limits for errors
Here you determine the temperature limits for the
errors HIGH TEMPERATURE and LOW TEMPERA-
TURE respectively.
If the HIGH TEMPERATURE error is flagged, this
usually indicates an short circuit in the sensor or
wiring. LOW TEMPERATURE usually indicates a
open circuit in sensor or wiring. That is why the
default value for the low temperature limit is -9 C. If
the sensor cools to this temperature, the resistance
from the sensor will be 0 ohms, which corresponds
to a short-circuit.
