Metering pump control circuit
The metering of the conveyor track lubricant is quantity-proportional to the water flow.
The flow sensor will be flow through by fresh water gives every 150 ml water flow one pulse
to the electrically powered diaphragm pump.
Every water flow pulse therefore causes at the standard setting at the pump (n = 1) one
metering stroke.
A special electronic control system in the metering pump allows the multiplication or division
of the incoming water flow pulses by a whole number. (see also operating manual of pump
series EMP E60, chapter Configuration / Pulse).
The required concentration of the conveyor track lubrication solution is defined as well by
multiplication or division of the incoming water meter pulses as by setting the stroke volume
of the pump.
NOTE
The assigned metering pumps have a maximum stroke number of 7320 per hour.
At the multiplication of the incoming water meter pulses you must be careful not to exceed
this maximum stroke number.

Metering pumps
(See also operating manual metering pump EMP II E60, article no. 417101438).
According to the size of conveyor unit and the therefore necessary number of nozzles the
metering stations
Lub-O-Mat
are provided with different water flow meters and metering
pumps.
The following versions are available:
Version Lub-O-Mat
Capacity of the integral metering pump EMP II E60)
Lub-O-Mat
2,5
2,5 l/h
Lub-O-Mat
4,3
4,3 l/h
Lub-O-Mat
7,2
7,2 l/h
Lub-O-Mat
11,2
11,2 l/h
This electromotoric driven diaphragm metering pumps can be used up to a maximum of 8 bar
back-pressure. (
Lub-O-Mat
11,2 till max. 6 bar.)
The specific metering capacity (metering quantity per stroke) of the diaphragm pump can be
pre-selected by manually setting the stroke length between approx. 30% ̶ 100%.
ATTENTION
The metering pump capacity setting may be changed only when the pump is in operation.
For any
emergency operation
requirement (e.g. breakdown of flow sensor or breakdown the
pulse processing electronics of pump) the metering diaphragm pump can be switched over to
an internal metering frequency.
This setting enables the operator to achieve the correct approximate concentration.
