Suction tube
The metering pumps operate with a suction height up to a maximum of 1.5 m water head, by
direct suction of the conveyor track lubricant via a suction pipe from the feed container
(60 kg canister-/200 l barrel /1000 kg container).
The suction lance has an empty signalling device which emits an alarm and therefore
requests that the container is changed.
The empty signal connector for the suction lance is connected directly to the metering pump
(3-pin plug) of the
Lub-O-Mat
).
When there is insufficient product remaining, the metering pump switches off and an "empty"
signal is displayed failure signal at the pump display and at the outside of the cover at the
Lub-O-Mat
(red lamp).
If more than one Lub-O-Mat is supplied from a single product container using a suction
distribution system and a single suction lance, the signal must be divided among the various
pumps. The level input / pulse distributor 1/2 or 1/4 which are supplied ready for connection
may used for this purpose.

4.7
Metering line
The metering line leads from the pressure connection or pressure valve of the metering pump
to the spring-loaded metering valve at the injection point of the mixing chamber
4.8
Mixing
The mixing chamber is used to provide a homogenous mixture of the conveyor track product/
concentrate with the water flowing through the system.
4.9
Distribution of lubrication solution
From the discharge point of the
Lub-O-Mat
metering stations the conveyor track lubrication
solution is transported via a feeder pipe to the filling systems or to the relevant lubrication
circuits. In the case of small and medium-sized systems the solution can be distributed to the
lubrication circuits directly from the metering station (see also process diagram chapter:
The control of the lubrication circuit valves and timing control can be made via the "valve time
control" system fitted directly on the solenoid valve.
4.10 Sampling connection
A sample connection is installed downstream of the mixing pipe to facilitate the removal of
the belt lubricant solution to check its concentration.
4.11 Cleaning connection
At the outlet side of the
Lub-O-Mat
metering stations a combined sampling and cleaning
connection (with ball cock and non return valve) has been installed. (OPTIONAL)
It makes possible a fast rinsing of the pipe system with cleaning solution. The non return
valve between mixing chamber and T-piece prevents the entering of cleaning solution into the
mixing chamber resp. the
Lub-O-Mat
during the rinsing procedure.
