No flow of solvent in the head
PROBLEM REMEDY
No solvent flows out of the
nozzle during the head
rinsing procedure
(after the
printer has been switched off
in the regular mode or after
the
INK OFF
command)
. The
pipes are not rinsed.
Or alternatively,
No solvent flows out of the
nozzle after the SOLVENT
command has been
selected.
In the
EBS-6100
printers, the solvent that is used for rinsing
the head is taken directly from solvent bottle and supplied to the ink
pump and then it is pumped under pressure to the head. If there is
no solvent jet, it may mean that the solvent bottle is empty. If that is
so, the solvent sucked by the pump is used partially or completely
and the ink jet in the head disappears. Replace the solvent bottle
with a new one - see
4.4.6 Ink and Solvent Bottle Monitoring
System
.
6.3.8.
The lower part of the print is missing
PROBLEM REMEDY
The lower part of the print
is not printed. Some
irregular drops of ink may
be splattered within the
printout outline (see
Fig. 6.3.8.2
).
NOTE:
The term "the lower part of the print " shall mean drops of ink which
are least deflected i.e., are jetted nearest to the gutter (farthest from
the deflecting electrode).

LOWER PART OF PRINT
Fig. 6.3.8.1.
The lower part of the print may be truncated due to improper
adjustment of the ink jet in relation to the gutter. Adjust the ink jet in
the gutter with the
SET INK STREAM
command - refer to section
4.4.4.8
