Procedure for IQMESII Meter Point
This section explains how to add IQMESII meter points to a IQMESII
submaster. In this scenario the submaster is connected directly to the
PXG600E and the IQMESII meter points (current sensors) are connected to
the submaster.
NOTICE: The PXG600E can monitor the status of the IQMESII meter
points but you MUST understand and follow certain configuration
guidelines to do this correctly.
1.
Add the
IQMESII
submaster
to the PXG600E using the instructions in
section
Procedure for Submaster on page 76
.
2.
Map out the field devices.
NOTICE: An IQMESII submaster is equipped with connectors for
up to 16 current sensors. The current sensors are represented
by meter points in the PXG600E. A meter point can contain one
or more sensors. For example, sensor 1, 5 and 7 can be grouped
into one meter point with a chosen address of 5. Refer to
IQMESII documentation available on
www.eaton.com/pxg
for
examples of IQMESII configurations.
NOTICE: It is imperative that you keep a copy of the map (sensor
to meter point) next to the PXG600E(s) that will monitor the
IQMESII(s). That is the only way you will understand what the
meter points represent when you review reports from the
PXG600E.
