Appendix B
USB Driver Installation
The USB port provides a convenient way to locally configure the PXG600E.
Before you can connect the PXG600E to a PC, you must install the USB
driver.
Requirements
To configure the PXG600E using the USB port, you must have:

A 32 or 64 bit, PC-compatible, computer
•
A USB AB cable
•
USB driver files (contained on the PXG600E CD-ROM that came with the
unit and also downloadable from
www.eaton.com/pxg
)
Procedure
Common Procedure for Windows XP and Windows 7
1.
Insert the PXG600E CD-ROM into the drive. A dialog box similar to
Figure 192
may appear. If it does, click CANCEL

2.
Power up the PXG600E and wait two minutes for the unit to boot.
3.
Connect the USB AB cable to the PXG600E USB port
(Figure 193, A)

Connect the other end of the USB AB cable to an empty USB port on the
computer.
