NOTE1: Melt Flow (also MFR) ASTM D1238 is a mass flow rate
measurement made at specific conditions of stress, die dimensions and
temperature, which differ from material to material. It typically uses units of g/(10
minutes).
Note 2: Strictly speaking all calculation shown above are "apparent
values" since they assume Newtonian behavior and that the entire pressure drop
occurs in the die (no entrance or exit effects).
