DIAGNOSTICS
The DIAGNOSTICS menu is accessible from the SETUP menu as shown above.
TEST PTS
>
Select TEST PTS to perform a diagnosis of all test point boards. Before performing this check, be sure
that all test point boards are disconnected from the interface cabling.
SER 1&2 or SER 3& 4
Serial ports may be diagnosed in pairs. To execute a diagnosis of serial ports 1 and 2, select SER 1&2,
connect the two ports together using the download cable and press the Green button. Similarly, to
execute a diagnosis of serial ports 3 and 4, select SER 3&4, connect the two ports together using the
download cable and press the Green button.
SYSLOG
The SYSLOG selection causes the NX Tester to copy the contents of its internal system log file to the
memory card. A memory card must be inserted before selecting this function. This capability may be
useful for diagnostic purposes – this file may be emailed to Dynalab for analysis.
RESET
Select RESET to perform a reset of the NX Tester. Specifically, this function deletes all programs,
initializes all counter variables, and resets all configuration settings to the factory defaults (except the
time setting).
