WARNING!
Very carefully tighten the tension rod. If it is
tightened too firmly, this may tear the block parts.
No claims can be made from the resulting
damages.
NOTE:
Applying a thin fatty film on the surface of the
sealing rings makes it easier to insert the counter-
electrodes into the block.
In addition because of this, damages of the
sealing rings will be avoided when inserting at the
block’s transverse bores.
Damaged sealing rings are often the cause for a
liquid inlet occurring later between the counter-
electrode and the block and the resulting corrosion
of the counter-electrode.
6.3 Hints regarding the moisture
indicator
The housing of the Digox 6 is equipped with a
moisture indicator for the housing interior (please
refer to figure 1.2).
Possible residual moisture is taken up by the
moisture indicator. The viewing window displays
the residual moisture in the housing.
-
blue colouring: humidity < 40%, state is
completely harmless
-
white colouring: humidity > 40%, exchange
moisture indicator
NOTE:
We recommend regularly checking the viewing
window and annually replacing the indicator.
6.4 Hints regarding the handling of
rechargeable battery
An important element for measuring with the
Digox 6
is the state of the battery. The
Digox 6
is
equipped with an improved nickel-metal-hydrid
battery.
NOTE:
The battery is a part liable to wear. This already
occurs when leaving the manufacturer. As a
device manufacturer, we guarantee that batterys
supplied by us have only been stored at our
premises for a short time and that they are then
directly delivered to our customers
.
Hints regarding the handling of the battery
In order to optimize the service life of the battery
and thereby the measurement stand-by of the
Digox 6
, we recommend considering the following
hints:
•
Avoid extreme ambient temperatures – do not
store the device in a cold storage room or in
full sun.
•
Only reload the battery if its capacity is under
50%.
•
Take care of the battery – unload and load the
battery at least once a month overnight:
o
Fully unload the battery until the device
switches itself off
o
Afterwards load the battery with the
charging unit
o
Observe the indicator regarding the
loading state
Indicator reading after unloading at 0%
and during loading increasing to 100%
o
Normal loading time is 3-4 hours
•
Do not always connect the device to the
charging unit when it is not being used. By
doing this, the available capacity of the battery
will be reduced
