If the appliance ignites with a bang, close the
gas valve immediately and alert the installer.
If the pilot flame goes out: wait at least five
minutes before lighting the pilot flame again.
Combustion control
When the stove is still fairly cold, the flames of the
main burner are very blue during ignition. As the stove
heats up to operating temperature, the flames will
gradually become yellower and will approximate the
effect of a real wood fire.
The gas flow, and thus also the height of the flames,
are adjusted using knob B: see previous figure. At the
lowest stand (5), the gas flow is zero or minimal. At
the highest stand (6), the gas flow - and thus the
height of the flames - is at a maximum.
Heating recommendations
It is best to leave the pilot on during the heating sea-
son as one will have less trouble with condensation
forming on the window and it will stay clean longer.
Extinguishing
1. Turn knob B to the right to position (5) until the
height of the flame is at a minimum or extin-
guishes the main burner; see previous figure.
2. Turn knob A to position (3). The gas supply to the
main burner is now completely shut off. The pilot
flame will continue to burn.
3. To turn off the appliance completely, push in knob
A and turn it to position (1). The pilot will go out.
You can only ignite the pilot flame again once the
thermocouple has sufficiently cooled off.
If the stove will not be used for an extended
period, close the gas valve in the gas supply
pipe as well.

Using the remote control
If a remote control module has been installed, you can
also use the handset to perform the operations of knob
B (switching the main burner on and off, setting the
flame height).
The remote control works with ultrasonic sounds.
That is why you do not have to aim the handset at the
appliance in order to operate it.
Standard remote control
(without thermostat)
“ON” button :knob B turns to the left, flow increases,
flames grow larger;
“OFF” button :knob B turns to the right, flow
decreases, flames become smaller;
When knob B reaches the end stop and the button of
the handset is kept pressed, the gas control block can
be heard ticking evenly. This is normal and does not
cause damage if you then release the button.
