4. Always use centering plates (3) to center and fin-
ish the facade sleeve.
Converting an existing flue
If the home already has a chimney, you can lead the
concentric duct system through the existing chimney
pipe. You can also convert the existing pipe into a con-
centric pipe using a single-wall flexible hose and the
right pipe reducers. There is a conversion kit for this.
See the chapter “Installation requirements” for the con-
ditions under which this conversion is permitted.
The conversion kit must be ordered separately.
The following parts are required to convert an existing
flue into a closed system; see next figure.
