Setting the Clock
You can set the FOMA terminal to correct the date
and time by the function of Set main time. In the
function of the sub clock, you can specify the display
mode view/close of the sub clock.
z
The FOMA terminal can automatically correct the
clock based on the time information (Greenwich
Mean Time GMT) and the time zone (the local
time).
z
The time difference to Greenwich Mean Time is set
as for the time zone every hour. When another city
or area is registered by the same time difference,

” is displayed in the function display, and it
can switch the city or the area with

When set to “ON”, time is displayed with 1 hour

2 Select any item:
Auto …… The date and time of the main clock are set
automatically.
Auto …… The time information and the time
zone information are retrieved and the date
and time are set automatically. The local time is
displayed during international roaming.
Manual (Time zone set) …… Selects the time
zone, and the local time is displayed.
Manual (Date time set) …… Enters the date and
time in the main clock manually. Select the time
zone, then enter the date and time.

clock is automatically switched to the local time
when Auto time difference is set to “Auto”, but the
sub clock displays the Japan standard time.
Always …… Selects the Time zone and sets the sub
clock to display the local time at all times.

When you set all functions, the initial setting screen no
longer appears when you turn on the FOMA terminal.

z After you set the date and time, you can use functions
such as “Alarm” or “Schedule” which manages the
date and time.
z The adjustable range of the date and time is between
00:00 on January 1, 2004 and 23:59 on December 31,
2037.

z The FOMA terminal's clock is automatically corrected
when the FOMA card is inserted into the terminal and
the terminal is turned on.
z If not corrected even after a while after turning on the
FOMA terminal, turn the power off and then on again.
z There may occur a time lag for a few seconds. The
time lag may not be corrected depending on the
condition of the wave or the i-

standby screen.
z Automatic correction may not be performed,
depending on the network of the carrier being used
while overseas.
z Local time is sometimes not automatically displayed
correctly due to network conditions in the region you
are roaming. In this case, specify the time zone
manually.

z The sub clock is displayed only when “Size” of “Clock
display” is set to “Small”.
z When you set “Auto” in this function, the sub clock
displays the Japan time except when the time zone of
“Set main time” is “GMT+09” (the sub clock is not
displayed for “GMT+09” in Japan).
