Enter the message body
The numbers and types of characters that can
be entered are as specified in the “SMS input
character” settings. When set to “Japanese”, you
can enter up to 70 characters regardless of
double-byte or single-byte. When set to
“English”, you can enter up to 160 single-byte
alphanumeric characters and symbols.
Spaces are also counted in the same way as
characters.

SMS reports
<SMS report req.>
SMS reports are the mail to notify you that the other
party has received SMS. You can check SMS reports
in the Inbox or in the “Disp. SMS report” in the
function menu of the sent SMS detail screen. SMS
reports are indicated by “SMS report” in the subject
line.

You cannot send SMS to the entered address when:
• The address contains the characters other than
numbers, “

” or “#”
• The address contains “+” except for the head of the
address
• The address contains a space

Depending on the signal quality, types of characters or
device of the other party, the recipient may not be able
to display the text correctly.

Even when “Caller ID Notification” is set to “OFF”, your
caller ID is provided to the recipient during SMS
transmission.
z
The line feed symbol is counted as 2 characters in
Japanese input mode and as 1 character in English
input mode.
z
You cannot send an SMS from the additional number
of multi number. Set the multi number setting to the
basic number.
z
When 2in1 is in B mode, you cannot compose and
send SMS.
