9.8.1 INVENTORY CARD Command
The
INVENTORY CARD
command displays the inventory information for a card or
all the cards in the Packet Voice Processor shelf. The minimum access level for this
command is Read. The command syntax is as follows:
INVENTORY CARD [<slot>]
9.8.2 Card to Slot Location
Because of software requirements and the different Packet Voice Processor card
backplane connections, each type of card must reside in a specific type of card slot
within the shelf.
displays a shelf chassis schematic with all 14
slots housing the different Packet Voice Processor card types. The front and rear
card slots are labeled with a number and card type.
describes which cards are housed in which slots.
Note
Installing the wrong Packet Voice Processor card in a shelf slot will not cause any
damage to either the card or shelf, but the card will not activate.
Warning
In a non-redundant Switch Control card configuration (only one Switch Control card
in the shelf), the single Switch Control card must be installed in shelf slot 1. For
additional information about card to slot placement, refer to
A Packet Voice Processor system configuration with 2 Switch Control Cards requires
their placement in slots 1 and 2. A Packet Voice Processor system configuration with
2 Interface Processing cards requires their placement in slots 4 and 6. A Packet
Voice Processor system configuration with Application Processing cards requires
their placement in slots 8 and 10.
