Chapter 7: Security Provisioning
7.1 Security Use
and Setup This chapter describes the commands used for security use and setup within the
Packet Voice Processor
TM
system. Table 7-1 lists and describes the Security
commands.
The Packet Voice Processor offers the following 3 types of system security:
Access levels and privileges - Section 7.1.1 on page 78
Passwords - Section 7.1.2 on page 78
Log recording and reviewing - Section 7.1.3 on page 79
Table 7-1 Security Commands
Command Description
PASSWORD <user>
[SHOW] Command that displays the password for the user.
The required minimum access level is ADMIN for this command (see
Section 18.2.1 on page 384 ).
PASSWORD <user> SET Command that sets the password for given user.
The required minimum access level is ADMIN for this command (see
Section 18.2.2 on page 384 ).
PASSWORD <user> CLR Command that clears a password for given user.
The required minimum access level is ADMIN for this command (see
Section 18.2.3 on page 385 ).
PASSWORD SET Command that sets the password for current user.
The required minimum access level is READ for this command (see
Section 18.2.4 on page 385 ).
PASSWORD CLR Command that clears a password for current user.
The required minimum access level is READ for this command (see
Section 18.2.5 on page 385
USERS Command that display users from the users list.
The required minimum access level is READ for this command (see
Section 18.3.1 on page 386 ).
USERS ADD Command that adds a user.
The required minimum access level is ADMIN for this command (see
Section 18.3.2 on page 386 ).
USERS <user> DEL Command that removes a user.
The required minimum access level is ADMIN for this command (see
Section 18.3.3 on page 387 ).
