Installing Disk and Tape Drives

Connecting an External SCSI Storage Box

SCSI termination is provided by a ‘soft switch’ setting in “SCSI Select.” Select
the adapter setting on one end and terminate the other end at the bulkhead.

To connect an external SCSI storage box:

Power down the Prioris XL 6000 Series server.

Remove the terminator from the external wide SCSI connector at the
rear of the server.

Connect the external SCSI storage box cable to the external wide SCSI
connector at the rear of the server.

Determine that the external storage box is properly terminated.
