TransPort WR21 rear panel features
1.
Secondary cellular (WWAN) antenna connector
: This SMA female connector connects the
router’s secondary cellular antenna. It is highly recommended to use the secondary antenna
for diversity. In most circumstances, dual antennas will provide improved signal strength thus
better performance.
2.
LAN 0 port
: This RJ45 port connects the router to a 10/100 base-TLAN. The port is auto-
sensing for speed and wiring (straight-through or cross-over).
3.
LAN 1 port
(optional): This RJ45 port connects the router to a 10/100 base-TLAN. The port is
auto- sensing for speed and wiring (straight-through or cross-over).
4.
Serial 0 port
: This DB9 port provides an asynchronous RS232 (RS485 optional) serial port with
optional RS422/485 support which may be which may be used to connect the router to a
compatible serial device. This is a DCE serial port and allows CLI access to the device by
default; the baud rate is 115200. For a pinout, see
TransPort WR21 serial pinout
on page 32.
5.
Power cord input
: This socket connects the router to a power source using either the
supplied Power supply or DC power cord. The barrel plug connector can be secured by
rotating it by 90 degrees once installed into the Digi TransPort router.
6.
Primary cellular (WWAN) antenna connector
: This SMA female connector connects the
router’s primary cellular antenna.
7.
Power cord input (terminal block variant)
: This socket connects the router to an alternative
power source.
