3.2.8 ALTERNATOR FAIL
Engine alternator has failed.
The batteries are the last remaining source of electrical power for about 30 minutes.

Circuit breakers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . check

ESSENTIAL BUS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ON
3.
Electrical equipment . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . switch OFF all equipment which
is not needed
4.
Land on the nearest suitable airfield.
WARNING
The ECU which is absolutely necessary for engine operation
needs electrical power. It is recommended to switch off all
electrical consumers and to land as soon as possible. Be
prepared for an engine failure and an emergency landing. For
a severe electrical failure a ECU backup battery system is
installed.
CAUTION
For cases in which the battery capacity is not sufficient to
reach a suitable airfield, an emergency battery is installed,
serving as an additional back-up system for the backup
attitude gyro (artificial horizon) and flood light. This battery
is switched on with the EMERGENCY switch, located on the
top left side of the instrument panel.
