On the manager’s telephone:
calls to
your telephone number are only indicated visually on the
INTERNAL
key (I)
. The audible signal (ring) is only given for the respective
MULTIPLE-INTERNAL key (MI)
of the
secretary. The secretary can answer and forward calls for you. If you wish, you can also alter the ring signal
allocation by using the “ring signal to key” or “deputy / delegation function” (cf. pages C-27 and C-28).
If you wish to make an internal or external call, simply press the INTERNAL key to access an internal line
and immediately dial the internal number, or access an external line by first dialling the trunk (external) line
access code (this sets your telephone number status to “busy”). You can also use the MI key of the secretary’s
telephone to make calls. However, this sets the secretary’s telephone number status to “busy”.
To call the secretary or a conference table telephone directly, simply press the respective
PARTNER key (P
).
The LED of the corresponding key indicates whether the destination telephone is free or busy. You can still
call this telephone, even if it is busy, however.
On the secretary’s telephone:
calls made to your telephone number are indicated acoustically and visually
on your
INTERNAL key (I)
. Furthermore, calls directed to the manager’s telephone are signalled acoustically
and visually on the
MULTIPLE-INTERNAL keys (MI)
. If desired, you can use the facilities “ring signal to key”
or “deputy / delegation function” (cf. pages C-27 and C-28) to switch the ring or call signalling to these
keys on or off.
If you wish to make an internal or external call, you can press the INTERNAL key (I) to access an internal line
and immediately dial the internal number, or access an external line by first dialling the trunk (external) line
access code (this sets your telephone number status to “busy”). You can also use the MI key of the manager’s
telephone to make calls. However, this sets the manager’s telephone number status to “busy”.
