Short codes with
suffix dialling and
pause codes
When you store telephone numbers in the short-code dialling memory, it may be necessary to define pauses
between the dialling of individual digits (e.g. in order to ensure a definite connection for certain
international calls). Furthermore, it may be necessary to enter a suffix dialling code at the end of a telephone
number (e.g. 6104-0). In the latter case, the system will wait a while before dialling the last digit (i.e. 0 in
our example). This gives you a chance to continue dialling a known extension at the destination manually. If
you do not dial a suffix manually, the system then dials the last digit (0 in our example) to connect you to the
switchboard operator at the destination.
To enter the destination and/or pause codes
while entering the full telephone number of the destination

Then enter the remaining digits of the number.
