INSPECTING THE FRONT BRAKE PADS
1. Unscrew:
- The brake calliper bolts (1).
2. Remove:
- The brake calliper.
3. Inspect:
- The brake pads (2).
4. Measure:
- The brake pad lining thickness. If the lining of either of them
is below the service limit => renew both pads.
Service limit (lining) => 1.5 mm.
Outside that specified => Renew
IF THE BRAKE PEDAL IS APPLIED
WITH THE CALLIPER REMOVED,
THE CORRESPONDING SYSTEM
MAY NEED TO BE BLED.
RENEWING THE FRONT BRAKE PADS
REMOVAL
1. Remove:
- The front brake calliper
(Dismantling the front brake calliper).
2. Remove:
- The stud (1).
- The pad springs (2).
- The brake pads (3).
FITTING
1. Retract:
- The calliper pistons manually.
2. Fit:
- The pads into the calliper.
3. Fit:
- The pad springs (2).
- The stud (1).
