36. Remove:
- The timing chain gear (65).
- The timing chain (66) from the top.
- The intermediate balance shaft gear (67).
TAP THE ALLEN KEY WITH A
NYLON MALLET TO UNLOCK IT
(BOLT 68).
37. Remove:
- The bolt (68) from the gear selector distributor.
- Gear change shaft assembly (69).
IF THE ENGINE OIL HAS NOT
BEEN PREVIOUSLY DRAINED,
PLACE A RECIPIENT UNDER
THE ENGINE AND DRAIN THE
OIL.
38. Remove:
- The engine oil pre-filter cap (70).
- The engine oil pre-filter.
- The 10 bolts (71) from the magneto flywheel cover.
- Cylinder head side cover (72).
- The cover gasket. (Renew when refitting).
39. Fit:
- The magneto flywheel (73) locking tool.
Magneto flywheel locking tool:

40. Remove:
- The nut (74) and the washer from the magneto flywheel.
