Gently spread the sides of the drive bracket and slide the hard drive into the bracket until the drive clicks into place.

Carefully slide the hard drive into the drive bay until it clicks into place.
6.
Connect the power and data cables to the drive.
7.
Ensure that the data cable is securely connected to the connector on the system board.
8.
Check all connectors to be certain that they are properly cabled and firmly seated.
9.
Replace the computer cover (see
Replacing the Computer Cover
).
10.
If the drive you just installed is the primary drive, insert a bootable medium into your boot drive. See the documentation that came with the drive for
instructions on installing any software required for drive operation.
11.
Enter system setup (see
Entering System Setup
), and update the appropriate
Primary Drive
option (
0
or
1
).
