Usage
Information
Use this command to check various flags associated with each MAC address in the CAM.
shows information for two MAC addresses. The second entry is for MAC address
00:00:a0:00:00:00 (leading 0s are not shown), which is shown as learned on VLAN ID 4094
(
0xfff
), as shown below in
. Above, “
STATIC_BIT=0
” means that
the address is dynamically learned.
When an entry is listed as
STATIC_BIT=1
, its
HIT_SA
is 0, which signifies that this address is
not getting continuously learned trough traffic. The
HIT_DA
is set when a new learn happens, and
after the first age sweep, it gets reset.
