Charging temperature
These settings control how the water in a hot-water storage tank is heated. The set-
tings are different, depending on the type of hot-water circuit installed. The following
pages describe the charging temperature settings for three different charging procedures
(a – c).
1 or 2 temperature sensors can be installed in the storage tank. The optimal system
configuration includes 2 sensors, one measuring water temperature in the upper part
of the tank and one measuring the temperature in the lower part of the tank.
Charging procedure a
This charging procedure is used in application 2, 10 and
13. The hot-water circuit has direct storage tank control,
and the tank is equipped with an internal heat ex-
changer. For these applications, the following setting is
available:

Range:
0-50 K
Charging starts when the upper tank
temperature falls below the setpoint mi-
nus ½ the cut-in difference. Charging
ends when the lower tank temperature
reaches the setpoint plus ½ the cut-in
difference or when the maximum charg-
ing time has expired (see page 56)
The diagram in Figure 5 illustrates the charging procedure when 1 temperature sen-
sor is installed in the hot-water tank.
