(15) Low night noise mode using an external contact
The outdoor unit fan revolution can be lowered at night-time or other times for low noise operation using one of 2
methods.
1. Receiving the time setting from the AIRNET (Setting Mode 2-11)
2. Using an external contact
The following describes the wiring needed to use an external contact.
The low noise mode can be activated by short-circuiting the PCB (X6M) on the inside left of the C/BOX.
Refer to Figure 1 for wiring procedures. Note, be sure to insulate the terminals with a sleeve or similar material.
The amount of speed reduction to apply to the night quiet mode can be set in setting mode 2-7.
The fan is factory setting to no upper limit.
Note, if both AIRNET and the external contacts are used, both settings will be enabled.
Note:
Since this wiring is weak electrical, ensure the wiring route is at least 50 mm or more away from
strong wiring.
