Method of
malfunction
detection
A fan motor or related error is detected by checking the high-voltage fan motor rpm being detected by
the Hall IC.
Malfunction

The fan does not start in 30 seconds even when the fan motor is running.

The system will be shut down if the error occurs 16 times.

Clearing condition: Continuous run for about 5 minutes (normal)

Fan motor breakdown
P
Harness or connector disconnected between fan motor and PCB or in poor contact
P
Foreign matters stuck in the fan

Caution
Be sure to turn off power switch before connect or disconnect connector, or parts damage may be
occurred.
Turn off the power and reconnect
the connector.
Remove.
Replace the outdoor unit fan
motor.
Replace the outdoor unit PCB.
