CHAP Secret
field, enter the case-sensitive password that will be used by the
target to authenticate an initiator. Then re-enter the same password in the
Confirm
CHAP Secret
field. The CHAP secret must be from 12 to 16 characters long. For security,
each typed character appears as a bullet (●).

Changing the CHAP Secret
To change the CHAP secret:
1.
In the Volume View, click the volume in the Main Display whose CHAP secret you want to
change.
2.
Click the
Security
tab.
The options in Figure 4-34 appear.

Delete the entry in the
CHAP Secret
field and enter a new case-sensitive password that
will be used by the target to authenticate an initiator. Then repeat this step in the
Confirm CHAP Secret
field. The CHAP secret must be from 12 to 16 characters long. For
security, each typed character appears as a bullet (●).

Click
Apply
