72 Chapter 5 – Data Configuration Setting
Item Description
Device section The section is comprised of three columns:
Device Type
- Displays the Device Groups such as
Platesetter, Imagesetter, Proofer, Imposition Proofer
and Halftone Proofer. In this case it would be a
Imagesetter. The list of Device Families appears
under each group such as Dolev.
Each level is locally expandable or collapsible, using
the arrow on the left.
Logical Name
- This column displays the name of a
specific configuration. When highlighted, relevant
operations are enabled (in the Operations section).
Model
- This column displays the physical device
name.
Expand or
Collapse icon Click to expand or collapse the entire list of devices
to show or hide all details.
New...
Click to open the New Device Wizard and start
configuring a new device.
Modify... Click to modify parameters for an existing output
device.
Delete
Click to delete an established configuration to an
output device.
Reconfigure Reestablishes the connection to the selected device.
Click
Reconfigure
to reconnect the device (Online
mode); a message confirms the connection or warns
of the failure to connect.
When a device is configured, the data is read and
registered in the Brisque database. Disconnection of
the device or failure of a component, is not logged in
the Brisque, and no mechanism is currently available
to warn of the device disconnection.
We recommend that you reconfigure the device
before every use.
