Adding a Bookmark
To add a Bookmark:
1. Select a recorded program that you want to add Bookmarks to.
2. Begin playback of the recording.
3. At a point where you want to have a Bookmark, press the
%
22.0$5.
button.
4. The Bookmarks window will open.
5. Press the
$
button to add a new Bookmark.
6. Enter a description or name for the new Bookmark.
7. Hit
(
17(5
when finished typing.
8. Hit
(
17(5
or the
%
22.0$5.
button to return to the program.
You can enter a full line of text in the Bookmark description field, but only the first few words
will be displayed in the Bookmark graphic. The full contents of the text can be read in the infor-
mation box at the top of the window when you select the Bookmark.
You can add as many Bookmarks as your needs require. If there are more Bookmarks than will
fit on one screen, scroll bars will appear at the top and/or bottom of the Bookmarks page.
Bookmarks can be added to a live broadcast that is being recorded, if desired.
Navigating with Bookmarks
Once you have created some Bookmarks in a recorded file, they can be used to navigate the
file.
To navigate using Bookmarks:
1. Press the
%

button on the remote to open the Bookmarks window.
2. Any Bookmarks saved with the show will be displayed.
3. Use the left/right arrow buttons to move within a row of Bookmarks to select.
4. Use the up/down arrow buttons to move vertically within a column of Bookmarks.
5. Press

17(5
to select the Bookmark and begin playback from its stored time location.
Renaming a Bookmark
You can change the name of a Bookmark if necessary, or add a name if no text was entered
when the Bookmark was originally created.
To change the name of a Bookmark:
1. Select a recorded program that you have added Bookmarks to.
2. Press the
%
22.0$5.6
button to open the Bookmarks window.
3. Select the Bookmark to be edited by navigating with the arrow buttons.
