After Surgery

Disconnect the Instruments

1. Turn off the energy platform.

2. Disconnect the Bipolar Resection cord from the LigaSure/Bipolar receptacle from the

front panel.

3. Disconnect the instrument from the cord.

•

If the instrument is single-use only (disposable), dispose of it according to the
procedures for your institution.

•

If the instrument is reusable, clean and sterilize it according to the manufacturer’s
instructions for use.

•

Clean and sterilize the cord according to the instructions for use.

4. Disconnect and clean the foot pedal according to the instructions for use.

5. Disconnect the power plug from the wall receptacle by pulling the plug, not the cable.
