the calibration procedure on that motor. This procedure correlates the actual
viscosity of the barrel and its contents with the electrical characteristics of the
motor. These characteristics are stored by the control system and are accessed at
the time of calibration for each particular motor.
Because of the differences between motor characteristics from different motor
suppliers, the Motor menu, shown in Figure 33, is used to adjust the unit settings
to match the motor type being installed. It provides the correct table of electrical
characteristics from imbedded settings located in non-volatile memory. Perform
the procedure described in Table 29 to change the motor type setting. Insure that
the motor type matches the settings listed in Table 27 based on model.
NOTE: If the Motor Type shown is “DEFAULT”, it indicates that the
EEPROM is not installed or is faulty.
