English
Said function is useful whenever the user wishes to reach quickly a
temperature different from the Heat pump set point.
If the [ELEC. HEATING] key on the control panel hasn’t been turned on
manually:
TEMPERATURE PROTECTION:
If the the ambient temperature detected
by the T1 probe drops to T1≤-5°C or reaches T1 >44°C the Heat Pump
compressor stops for protection, the Electric Heater is switched ON and
the production of hot sanitary water will only be carried out by Electric
Heater that will be turned ON after a delay of [set value of parameter 3]
x 5 minutes. When the the ambient temperature came back to -3°C ≤ T1
≤42°C the Electric Heater is switched OFF and heat pump is switched
ON.
PRESSURE PROTECTION:
If high pressure or low pressure protection
for 3 times in 30 min occurs, the Heat Pump compressor stops for
protection and the Electric Heater is switched ON. In this case the error
code will be displayed, and this protection cannot be recovered unless
powering off the supply. So the electrical heater keeps running to reach
the setting temperature, then it is switched OFF.
FROZEN PROTECTION:
In STAND BY mode, if the downside (IN) tank
water temp T2 is ≤ 5°C, Electric Heater is switched ON for tank water
frozen protection. Electric Heater is switched OFF when downside (IN)
tank water temp T2≥10°C or the unit is turned on by pressing the [ON/
OFF] key.
DEFROST MODE
The defrost mode allows to use the unit with air temperatures near to
0°C, preventing the formation of ice on the surface of the evaporator.
This is an automatic function, the system will switch ON Electric Heater
entering in defrosting mode (and OFF exiting), according to the inner
control program. The unit does not support manual defrosting control.
The defrosting parameters that can be set are:
• Parameter 6 Defrosting period 30~90 min (default 45 min)
• Parameter 7 Defrosting entry coil temp. -30 ~ 0°C (default -7°C)
• Parameter 8 Defrosting exit coil temp. 2 ~ 30°C (default 13°C)
ANTI-BACTERIAL TREATMENT CYCLE
The anti-bacterial cycle consists of cyclically
raising and maintaining for a fixed time the water
contained in the tank at temperature defined as
"thermal shock" (set value of parameter 4 50÷70°C) by mean of Electric
Heater. The cycle starts each week (not adjustable) at the setting day
time (set value of parameter 13 ) automatically. The week day of the cycle
will be the week day in which the unit has been powered (in case of line
supply missing the period of cycle repeating wil be reset and restart from
the moment of supply restore).
The following Parameters (Configuration Branch) must be set:
• Parameter 4 Thermal Shock Set Point
• Parameter 5 duration of each cycle (disinfection time spent at the
thermal shock temperature)
• Parameter 13 day time of cycle starting
The anti-bacterial cycle program makes the Electric Heater start and run
until upper tank temp T3≥ [set value of parameter 4], when this temperature
is reached the heater stops. When T3≤ [set value of parameter 4]-2°C,
the heater restarts in order to keep the water temperature T3, during the
setting disinfection time ([set value of parameter 5]), into the range: [set
value of parameter 4] ≤ T3 ≤ [set value of parameter 4]-2°C After this time
the unit quits the treatment, the timer will be cleared and start the period
to next timer cycle.
Remark: if the disinfection program last over 3 hours, will be forced
to quit. It is NOT possible to force anti-bacterial treatment at any time
NOR to enable/disable anti-bacterial treatment. It is possible to change
the week day of the cycle by unplugging and re-plugging the unit in the
wished day of cylcle in order to reset the period of cycle repeating.
AUTOSTART FUNCTION
The Autostart function allows automatic restart of the unit after a shutdown
caused by a lack of voltage. This function is always enabled.
TIMER OR REMOTE ON/OFF FUNCTION
When the Bollyterm is installed in a system made up of several heating
sources, it is necessary to prioritize integration of the various sources,
and normally this is done based on considerations of cost-effectiveness.
For example, if the Bollyterm is integrated in a solar system, it may be
convenient to use as a primary resource the solar energy and, where the
contribution of this becomes ineffective, to activate the HP.
To do this, the unit has TIMER function that allows to switch ON/OFF the
unit at a set time.
To set the timer ‘ON’ and timer ‘OFF’ press the [TIMER] key button
once, the clock icon “88:88” and L10 icon [Timer ON] will flash. Press
the [TIMER] key again, hour icon “88” will flash, use the ▲ or ▼ button
to set the desired timer “ON” hour(s).
Press the [TIMER] key again, minute icon “88” will flash, use the ▲ or
▼ button to set the desired timer “ON” minute(s).
Press the [TIMER] key again to confirm the set time. The L10 icon
[Timer ON] stop flashing, at the same time the clock icon “88:88” and the
L11 icon [Timer OFF] will flash.
Use the same method to set the timer “OFF” time.
To cancel the TIMER function: press the [TIMER] key and enter the
TIMER setting; than Press the [CLOCK] key to cancel the timer setting.
NOTE:
• The timer ‘ON’ and timer ‘OFF’ functions can be set at the same time.
• The timer settings are daily repeating.
• The timer settings are still valid after a sudden power cut.
• During the clock setting, the [TIMER SET] key is invalid.
In addiction the unit can be enabled-disabled by a switc connected
to GND and KEIN connections on the electronic board (default short-
connected). In this case you will have two conditions:
• If the contact (KEIN -GND) is OPEN the unit is OFF waiting to receive
an input for starting..
• If the contact (KEIN -GND) is CLOSED, the unit can start normally.
Attention: If the TIMER OR REMOTE ON/OFF FUNCTION
is enabled the Heat Pump will be ON and produce domestic
hot water only during the programmed time and will be
OFF during the rest of the day, unless manual activation takes
place.
