English
• The L3 [IN water temperature] section shows the current downside
temperature of the water tank (sensed by T2 probe). In checking or
adjusting the parameter this section will display the set value of related
parameter 0. In case any malfunction occurs, this section will display
the related error code.
• The L9 [OUT water temperature] section shows the current upside
temperature of the water tank (sensed by T3 probe). If you want to
check or adjust the parameter this section will display the the set value
of related parameter 2. In case any malfunction occurs, this section will
display the related error code.
• The L10 icon [Timer ON] indicates that the timer ‘ON’ function is
enabled.
• The L11 icon [Timer OFF] indicates that the timer ‘OFF’ function is
enabled
• The L1 icon [key lock] is bright: keys cannot operate until the key lock
is disabled. To disable or enable this function hold for 5 seconds both
▲ and ▼ keys
• The L4 icon [defrost] is bright: the defrosting function is enabled. This
is an automatic function, the unit does not support manual defrosting
control.
• The L5 icon [Fan ventilation] is bright: the fan ventilation function is
enabled. If this function is enabled the fan will continue working to
ventilate the air also after the water temperature reaches the set point
and Heat Pump is switched OFF waiting for heating requests. If this
function is disabled the fan will stop when the water temperature rea-
ches the set point and Heat Pump is switched OFF.
By pressing the “ELEC HEATING" button and hold it for five seconds the
fan ventilation function can be enabled or disabled.
During RUN MODE:
• The L6 [Heat Pump Heating] icon keeps flashing: Heat Pump is not
working, even if the water temperature sensed by the T2 probe is less
than set point.
• The L6 [Heat Pump Heating] icon is bright: the Heat Pump is working
and remains ON until the water temperature sensed by the T2 probe is
≥ [set value of parameter 0] (Heat Pump set point).
• The L7 [Hot water] icon is bright: The set point is reached or
exceeded, the L7 icon indicates hot water is available for use. Heat
Pump is switched OFF waiting for heating requests.
• The L8 [Electric Heater] icon is bright: the Electric Heating function
is enabled. The electrical heater will work according to the control
program.
7. Start-up
7.1 Checks before start-up
Before unit start-up, check:
• proper electrical connections and proper grounding with ground wire.
• proper hidraulic connections
• existing and open condensate drain pipe
• good fixing of upper casing and any air ducts
• presence of safety fuses on the power outlet
• proper insertion of plugs
• Upon start-up and after a few days of operation, check the tightness
of bolts in the flange, easily accessible thanks to the removable flange
cover.
7.2 Start-up
Once all connections have been made, fill the tank with water from the
water mains without exceeding the maximum operating pressure (indi-
cated on the label). Connect the power and make sure that the power
supply is normal and the wire connection is ok. Check the inlet water
pressure, make sure that the pressure is sufficient. Check if any water
flows out from the hot water outlet, make sure that the tank is full of water
before turning on the power.
1. Press the [ON/OFF] key once to put the unit into STAND-BY MODE.
When turning ‘ON’ the power, whole icons are displayed on the
controller screen for 3 seconds. After checking if everything is ok, the
unit enters into the standby mode. In this status, the machine will not
operate. Water temperatures: IN (T2) and OUT (T3), the mode, timer
situation and clock time are displayed on the screen. During this status
it is possible to navigate through the menu pressing ▲ or ▼ button to
view/ modify the control parameters of the machine (see the following
instructions regarding parameters display and setting)
2. Press the [ON/OFF] key to put the unit in RUN MODE, the unit will run
on the setting mode
The IN water temperature (sensed by lower probe T2), the OUT water
temperature (sensed by upper probe T3), the timer situation and clock
time are displayed on the screen. If values have not been changed
Manufacturer default settings will be used.
During this status it is possible to navigate through the menu, pressing
▲ or ▼ button, to view the control parameters of the machine (see
the following instructions regarding parameters display and setting).
When turning ‘ON’ the power of the unit, listen to the unit carefully. If
you hear an abnormal sound turn the power ‘OFF’. Measure the water
temperature, to check the undulation of the water temperature.
Once the parameters have been set, please refer to qualified service
personnel to change them. The end-user should not change the
parameters optionally.
Pressing the [ON/OFF] key again when the unit is running, the unit will
be turned ‘OFF’ and will come back to STAND-BY MODE. The mode,
timer situation and clock time are displayed on the screen.
3. Press the [ELEC. HEATING] key if you want turn ‘ON’ or turn ‘OFF’ the
electrical heater according to the control program.
Pressing the [ELEC. HEATING] key in STANDBY mode starts the
electric heater only.
7.2.1
Clock time setting
To set the clock time press [CLOCK] key once, the clock hour icon “88”
will flash. Use the ▲ or ▼ button to set the exact hour(s).
Press [CLOCK] key again, the clock minute icon “88” will flash, use the▲
or ▼ button to set the exact minute(s).
After finishing the setting, press the [CLOCK] key once again to confirm
and exit.
8. Operation
8.1 Operation and thermoregulation
Since hot water production inside the tank is carried out by two devices
(The air/water Heat Pump -HP- and the Electric Heater), the controller, by
mean of two water probes (T2 and T3) and one air probe (T1), manages
the starting of one or the other device based on:
• Water temperature inside the
tank (desired set point)
→ parameter 0
(adjustable by customer)
• Differential of action on
water
→ parameter 1
(adjustable by customer)
• Minimum outside air
temperature
→ parameter E
(sensed by T1)
