English
The tank water temperature sensed by lower sensor T2 is mainly for heat
pump control (with eventual Electric Heater integration). The heat pump
(and the eventual Electric Heater integration) works until the temperature
sensed by T2 sensor reaches the set point for heat pump ([set value of
parameter 0]).
The tank water temperature sensed by upper sensor T3 is for Electric
Heater only. When the Electric Heater works alone, it heats water
until the temperature sensed by T3 sensor reaches the E-heater OFF
temperature ([set value of parameter 2]).
In case of default of one of the sensors the related error will be displayed
and the other sensor will be used to control both Heat Pump and Electric
Heater.
The Electric Heater is wired in the unit, to terminals OUT 2 and is equipped
with a manual reset thermostat with safety temperature set to 102 °C.
8.2 Operating modes
The main operating modes are defined as:
• STAND-BY MODE
• RUN MODE
(setted working mode of HP + Electric Heater integration)
• ELECTRIC HEATER ONLY
• DEFROST MODE
• ANTI-BACTERIATREATMENT CYCLE
STAND-BY MODE
Upon start-up, when the [ON/OFF] key is pressed once, whole icons are
displayed on the controller screen for 3 seconds. Then the unit remains
in Stand By mode. In this mode, the machine does not regulate any
thermoregulation function. Alarm signals remain active. In this status, the
machine will not operate. The lower (IN, sensed by T2 sensor) and upper
(OUT, sensed by T3 sensor) water temperatures, timer situation and
clock time are displayed on the screen. During this status it is possible to
navigate through the menu, pressing ▲or ▼ button, to view/ adjust the
control parameters of the unit (see the following instructions regarding
parameters display and setting)
From this status press the [ELEC. HEATING] key to start heating only
with electric heater.
RUN MODE
In stand by mode, When the [ON/OFF] key is pressed, the unit is put
in RUN MODE and will run on the setted mode. On the screen are
displayed: the running mode, the lower (IN, sensed by T2 sensor) and
upper (OUT, sensed by T3 sensor) water temperatures, the timer situation
and the clock time. During this status it is possible to navigate through the
menu, pressing ▲ or ▼ button, to view the control parameters (see the
following instructions regarding parameters display and setting).
If the outside air temperature, detected by the T1 sensor, is between
minimum and maximum value of outside air temperature (see values on
the data chart), the production of hot sanitary water will be carried out by
means of the Heat pump. If the T2 sensor detects a water temperature
that is ≤ [set value of parameter 0] – [set value of parameter 1], Heat
pump starts running. In the same way, when the T2 sensor detects that
[set value of parameter 0] has been reached, the HPwill switch off. The
Heat Pump will restart when water drops under [set value of parameter
0] – [set value of parameter 1].
Attention: Heat Pump operations will respect a safety
delay time after enabling and before turning ON depending
on thermodynamic conditions of the ambient and of the
unit.
Integration of Heat Pump with Electric Heater
During run mode the Electric Heater can work as integration of heat
pump in heating water in order to reach the set tank water temperature
([set value of parameter 0]) or for heat pump protection.
In particular in the following cases:
MANUAL BOOST:
During run mode press the [ELEC. HEATING] key
to turn ‘ON’ or turn ‘OFF’ the electric heater. It will work according to the
following control program:
If the upper (OUT) tank water temperature T3 is ≤ E-heater off tank
water temperature = [set value of parameter 0] -3°C, after Heat Pump
compressor runtime exceeds the E-heater delay time (set value of
parameter 3), Electric Heater is switched ON.
Electric Heater is switched OFF when upper (OUT) tank water
temperature T3 reaches [set value of parameter 0]+1°C or when the
[ELEC. HEATING] key is pressed (manual turn ‘OFF’).
Said function is useful whenever the user wishes to reach quickly the
Heat Pump set point temperature and reduce the duration of the heating
time or, for BOLLYTERM HP SOLAR, if the user wishes to heat up all
the water in the tank (not only the upper part heated by Heat Pump
condenser).
Attention: On-off operations on the Electric Heater must
respect E-heater delay time set by the user ([set value of
parameter 3]).
NOTE If Electric Heater set point temperature ([set value of
parameter 2]) is < 60°C and water set point temperature ([set value
of parameter 0]) is > 60°C, Electric Heater will switch OFF when
tank water temperature reaches [set value of parameter 2], than
when temperature reaches 60°C it will re-switch ON till [set value
of parameter 0]. For this reason it is recommended to set [value of
parameter 2] ≥ [value of parameter 0] or, if the [value of parameter
0]> 60 ° C, set [value of parameter 2] ≥ 60 ° C.
If the [ELEC. HEATING] key on the control panel hasn’t been turned on
the Electric Heater can work the same as integration in the following cases:
HEAT UP:
If the tank water setting temperature = [set value of parameter
0] is >60°C the heat pump will work to heat up the water till 60°C. When
the downside tank water temperature (T2) is > 60°C the Heat Pump
compressor stops for protection and the Electric Heater is switched ON.
Electric heater is switched OFF when the tank water temperature (T2)
reaches [set value of parameter 0]+1°C. If the temp (T2) drops below
60°C, the Electric Heater is switched OFF and heat pump is switched ON
and will work to heat up the water water till 60°C.
DEFROST/ ANTI-BACTERIAL TREATMENT CYCLE:
When the unit is
in defrosting or in disinfection mode the Electric Heater is switched ON.
The Electric Heater is switched OFF when exit defrosting or disinfection.
ELECTRIC HEATER ONLY MODE
The Electric Heater can work alone to heat water in the following cases:
MANUAL ACTIVATION:
During STANDBY mode press the [ELEC.
HEATING] key to starts the Electric Heater only mode.
Only Electric Heater is activated to heat up the water till [set value of
parameter 2] while the Heat Pump is switched off, and the working mode
of the unit will be as following:
If the upper (OUT) tank water temperature T3 is ≤ [set value of parameter
2]-3°C, Electric Heater is switched ON. Electric Heater is switched OFF
when upper (OUT) tank water temperature T3 reaches [set value of
parameter 2]+1°C or the [ELEC. HEATING] key is pressed (manual turn
‘OFF’).
