5.10 Electrical connections
Ensure that the general power supply is disconnected before
beginning any operation
Electrical connections to control panels must be
performed by specialised personnel according to
the diagram provided.
Ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the plate correspond to
the connection power line.
Check the electrical system by verifying compliance with applicable
standards.
Verify that the system is adequate for the maximum power input.
Connect with adequate cabling for the power used and in
compliance with local regulations.
Cable dimensions should however be sufficient for achieving
a voltage drop during the start-up phase of less than 3% of the nominal
voltage. Attach the wires firmly to the terminal board in such a way that
the stress of the wires is not applied to the sections.
• The use of adapters, power strips and/or extension cords are not
permitted for general power of the heat pump.
• It is the duty of the installer to provide installation as close as possible
to the power disconnection unit as this is necessary for the protection
of electrical parts.
• Connect the unit to an efficient ground system using suitable screws
inserted in the unit itself.
• It is forbidden to use the system pipes for connecting the unit ground.
• The manufacturer will not be held responsible for any damage caused
by failure to earth the system or by abnormal power supply.
• To exclude it from the main power supply, a bipolar switch 16A in
compliance with current CEI-EN and a residual-current circuit breaker
of 30mA must be used (see figure). It is recommended to comply
with the order of the connections (Line-Neutral) shown in the wiring
diagram of electronic board in 5.11. It is recommended to place the
switch and any electrical connection above 1.4 m to avoid accidental
contact with splashing water.
