Use these proxy server settings:
Try using the
Automatically detect proxy server settings
option first. If this does not allow you to update, you will need to find your
proxy server details and
enter them in the fields supplied below this group of
options. Your ISP (Internet Service Provider)
or network administrator can supply
you with your proxy server details.
Proxy Authentication
Users who are part of certain secure networks sometimes need to give their proxy username and
password details for the update process to be able to connect the Internet to download the new
updates.
To enable proxy authentication, click the option
My proxy server requires authentication
, then
enter your username and password .Your password will appear
as a series of asterisks "*" when
typed into the field provided.
Quarantined Items
Whenever malware is detected by EZ Antivirus it is, by default, quarantined. The quarantining of
viruses, Trojans, worms and other malware gives you a place to review infected items, with the
ability to restore and remove them. It also provides you with an option to link to detailed
information about the infection. When EZ Antivirus detects malware, it prevents access to it, and
removes it from its current location. It then places it in the Quarantined Items list.
To enable or disable the automatic quarantining of infected items, use the
Scan Settings
dialog
box.
To display the Quarantined Items dialog box, click the Tools tab, then select
Quarantined Items
.
The quarantined items list will contain the following information about infections that have been
quarantined:
Quarantined File:
The full path and filename of the infection including the extension.
Infection:
The name of the infection. A hyperlink will be offered where available to obtain further
information about the virus, Trojan or worm detected.
Date/Time:
The exact time and date of detection.
Type:
The type of infection - for example, File or Email.
Info:
When the info link is clicked, the
Quarantine Information Window
is displayed.
The buttons below the quarantined items list allow you to perform various actions on your
quarantined infections.
