Automatically connect to the Internet if I am not already online:
If you connect to the Internet
using a modem, you can instruct EZ Antivirus to dial your default connection to perform the
update.
Proxy Settings
A proxy server is the computer that you may need to connect to for access to the Internet. If you
require a proxy server, the program will automatically try to find these details from your browser.
Most users will not require a proxy server to be configured. This section will explain the options
available in the
Proxy Connection
Settings dialog box.
Proxy Server
Do not use a proxy server to connect to the Internet:
This option will apply to most users - if
you do not use a proxy server, leave this as the selected option.
Automatically detect proxy server settings:
This is the default option. Selecting this option will
allow EZ Antivirus to automatically search your computer for the proxy server details. If it finds a
proxy server configuration being used for you browser, it will use these details. If no proxy server
configuration is found, no proxy will be used. Use this option if you are unsure if you use a proxy
server.
