To check System Interconnect Status Indicator LEDs, the server should be
placed in Standby with the power supplies plugged in.
Running System Diagnostics
1.
Make sure there is good facility power applied to the server.
2.
With the power to the server still turned off, check the LEDs on the
power supplies:
The top LED should be OFF (clear).
The bottom LED should be ON (solid green).
3.
Turn on the power to the machine. During the Power-On Self-Test
(POST), press F10 to start the Compaq System Diagnostics.
4.
At the Main Menu, select Diagnostics and Utilities.
5.
At the Diagnostics and Utilities menu select Test Computer.
6.
Select a test:
Quick Check runs a select set of tests. The time required for the test
depends on the server configuration; it could require up to two hours.
This test does require less time than the Automatic Diagnostics
Automatic Diagnostics runs a complete set of system tests. This test
could require several hours.
If errors occur, refer to the “Diagnostics Tools” chapter of the Compaq Servers
Troubleshooting Guide for details on other diagnostic options.
