Input configured for measurement of binary events works the way, during measurement internal source
2.5V with internal resistance of approx. 3000 Ohms is connected to the IN terminal IN. Input signal is
connected between terminals IN and COM. Signal can be from potential-less contact, open collector or
voltage. With voltage signal it it necessary to ensure, level L (zero voltage) is hard enough against this
internal source. If output of connected device is at high impedance state, data logger evaluates the state as
„H“.

This input is designed for reading from intelligent transmitters, supporting basic form of protocol ModBus
RTU or ADVANTECH. Transmitters are connected to special
terminals next to terminals for channel
15 and channel 16. User can specify, which channels will read values from this interface instead of
standard measurement. This input can cooperate with 1 up to 16 devices (resp. measured points).
Module works that way, command for reading of data from the first transmitter is sent, then it
waits for the response. Maximum waiting time is possible to set to approximately 210 ms. After
waiting time error of communication is reported and reading of next channel continues. If device
responses in adjusted time, response is evaluated and also reading of next channel continues. For
all channels evaluated from this input communication speed and protocol must be the same.
