CHECKING AND SETTING THE VALVE TIMING

Position of the crankshaft.

NOTE : 

This operation enables you to position all the pegs in their respective pegging points.

Peg : 
- The camshaft pulleys, using tool 

[2]

.

- The crankshaft, using tool 

[1]

.

If this should not be possible, reposition the flange

.

IMPERATIVE : 

This operation guarantees the setting of the timing for subsequent operations.

Slacken the screw 

(16)

so as to free the pinion

(17) 

of the crankshaft.

Bring the flange 

(17)

to the pegging point, using tool 

[5].

Position the tool 

[1]

.

Tighten the screw 

(16)

to : (Tool

FACOM D360

).

Tighten to

4 ± 0,4 m.daN

Angular tighten

53° ± 5°

Remove tools 

[1], [2]

and 

[5]

.

ESSENTIAL : When tightening screw (16), hold the pulley (17) by means of tool [5].
