Engine oil change
With the engine warmed-up, change
the engine oil according to the
frequence recommend on the
Warranty & Service Booklet.

Change the oil according to the time
intervals or kilometres run, because
oils lose their lubricating properties
not only due to the engine operation,
but also to ageing. Preferably,
change the oil at a Chevrolet dealer,
thus assuring the use of the
specified oil for keeping the engine
component integrity. Damage
caused by the non specified oil will
not be covered by the warranty.
The specified oil type is Dexos 1
grade or higher and viscosity
SAE 5W20 for 1.5L Petrol engine.
The oil level must be inspected with
the vehicle levelled and with the
engine (which must be at normal
operating temperature) switched off.
Wait at least 2 minutes before
checking the level to allow the normal
oil accumulation in the engine to drain
back into the oil pan. If the oil is cold,
the oil might require more time to
drain back into the oil pan.
Inspect the oil level weekly or before
planning a trip. It is considered normal
oil consumption up to 0.075 L of oil for
each 1,000 km driven.
