5. Unscrew the nut of the negative
terminal end.
6. Remove the negative terminal
end from the battery terminal.
Connect:
1. Assure the ignition is switched off.
Open the bonnet and install the
terminal end in the negative
battery terminal.
2. Tighten the nut of the terminal
end.
3. Close the bonnet.
Vehicle storage
Storage for a long period of time
If the vehicle is going to be stored for
several months:
■ Wash and wax the vehicle.
■ Clean and preserve rubber seals.
■ Change engine oil.
■ Drain washer fluid reservoir.
■ Check coolant anti-freeze and
corrosion protection.
■ Adjust tyre pressure to the value
specified for full load.
■ Park vehicle in dry, well ventilated
place. Engage the first or the
reverse gear in order to prevent the
vehicle from rolling.
■ Do not apply the parking brake.
■ Disconnect the battery according to
the procedure described in Battery
disconnect switch

■ Close the bonnet.
Putting back into operation
When the vehicle is going to be put
back into operation:
■ Connect the battery according to
the procedure described in Battery
disconnect switch

■ Check the tyre pressure.
■ Fill up the washer fluid reservoir.
■ Check the engine oil level.
■ Check the coolant level.
Emission information
Note
The use of fuel other than the
specified one may jeopardise the
vehicle performance, cause damage
to the fuel injection system, or
possibly damage the engine. This
type damage is not covered by the
vehicle warranty.
