Click the start icon on your computer

 Type the word “run” and select enter on your keyboard.

Type in ‘cmd’ and press enter on your keyboard, or press ok.

Type in ‘

ipconfig /all

’ into the command prompt that appears. Press “Enter”.

5. 

Write down your computer’s IP address. 

Do not use the same IP address as the computer in the DVR.
In the example below, the computer’s IP address is 192.168.1.74.
The IP address of the DVR must be different than the IP address in the computer.
Each network-able device in your network has an IP address assigned. 
The IP chosen for your DVR is not the same address as any other device on your network.
