
Connections
• Audio Inputs:
Connect the Audio in/out connector to an Audio in/out cable, and then connect the audio input
connectors to the audio line-outputs from the system cameras or other audio sources.
Associate the audio inputs with the cameras in Camera Setup as described on page 7.
• Audio Output:
Connect the Audio in/out Connector to an Audio in/out cable, and then connect the audio output
connectors of that cable to the audio line inputs from speakers. You may also use a HDMI
monitor to output audio.
• Alarm Outputs:
Use alarm outputs 1 & 2 for Normally Closed type signals, and alarm outputs 3-4 for Normally
Open types signals.
• USB 2.0 disk drives, DVD+RW, card reader, etc:
To install a USB or DVD driver, connect it to the USB 2.0 port.
• Alarm Inputs:
Connect the alarm inputs to NC and/or NO depending on your alarm type.
Set up the alarm configurations in Alarm Setup as described on page 32 and 33.
• Ethernet:
Connect the Ethernet connector on the DVR to a standard twisted-pair Ethernet cable for remote
access via Intranet or internet.
• Call Monitor:
Connect the call monitor output to a surveillance or TV monitor. This monitor displays the
full screen video of cameras associated with events (alarm or motion) or the video from the
installed cameras sequentially according to the Seq Display Setup in the call monitor menu.
Note: this feature is only available on the 16 channel model.
