
• E-mail:
This option defines whether an event e-mail is sent to a remote email address or not.
The e-mail will be sent to the predefined recipients the moment an event is triggered.
Use the Enter button or +/- to check/uncheck this option. By default, this setting is not checked.
• FTP:
This option defines whether a recorded event video/audio files are sent to an FTP server or
not. Use the Enter button or +/- to check/uncheck this option. By default, this setting is not
checked.
• Detection Settings:
This menu is used to set up the motion detection settings, including detection
area & sensitivity when motion is detected on the corresponding camera. The detection area &
sensitivity are also used for Smart Search. Smart Search will not function outside the detection
area set in the motion menu. It is recommended to select the entire image for motion detection if
using Smart Search. Use the Enter button in Settings to call up Motion Detection Setup
on the corresponding camera. In the Motion Detection Setup, the area is divided into small grids.
Grids that are colored gray are activated and used for motion detection. Grids that are marked
transparent are grids that are not used for motion detection. Use the yellow square and the Enter
button to select or unselect each grid.
• Numeric:
Use these buttons to select the camera.

: Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.
• +/- :
(Mouse: Left click and drag) Use these buttons to resize the Mask window.
• Enter:
Use this button to set/reset the area under the Mask window.
• Mode:
Use this button to set/reset the video channel you are editing.
• Seq / Call:
Use this button to decrease or increase the sensitivity, 1 – 10, of the corresponding
camera.
• Vol+/- :
( / ) Use this button to increase or decrease the number of grids active for motion detection
on the corresponding camera.
• Search:
Use this button to test the motion detection feature on the corresponding channel.
Motion that is detected will be shown on the screen. Press this button again to stop testing.
• Esc:
(Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the
previous menu. If the Save dialog is shown, press Enter to exit and save, or Esc (Mouse: Right
Click) to exit without saving.
• Privacy Mask Settings:
This menu is used to setup the privacy mask settings.
Use the Enter button in the Settings menu to open Privacy Mask Setup on the corresponding
camera. The Privacy Mask Setup menu is similar to Motion Detection Setup, but the grayed area
of the camera will be blacked out for live & recorded video.
