
Alarm Setup
In the Setup Menu, use

to change the highlighted option to Alarm, and then use Enter to
open the Alarm Setup menu. The Alarm Setup menu allows the administrator to define the attributes
for Panic, Alarm Set/Unset, and each alarm input. It also defines what occurs when said actions are
triggered. There are up to 16 alarm inputs which can be connected to the system, depending on the
model of DVR you are using. When Panic is triggered, all cameras will be recorded at their highest
possible frame-rate. When the alarm is set, alarm & motion will be detected based on schedule
setup. When the alarm is not set, alarm and motion will not be detected.
General operations of this menu are defined below.

Mouse: Left click) Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.
• Numeric
(Enter) Use these buttons to select the alarm input.
• Copy
Use this button to copy the settings of the current alarm input to all the other alarm inputs.
• Esc:
(Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the
previous menu. If the Save dialog is shown, press Enter to exit and save, or Esc (Mouse: Right
Click) to exit without saving.
• Normal State:
Use the +/- buttons to select N/A, Closed or Open. Check the signal type, normally
closed or normally open, for the deviced you are connecting to the alarm input terminal on the rear
panel of the DVR. If you’re not using this feature, select N/A – Not Available. By default, the state is
set to “Open” for Normally Open.
• Title:
This defines the title (Max. 8 characters) of this alarm input. Follow the text input method
described on page 16 to name each alarm input.
• Delay:
This defines the how long the input contact will be delayed after it is triggered.
Delay time (0-15 seconds). Choose 0 sec. if you do not want a delay.
